Death Cab For Cutie fans will have the time of their life as the Seattle band (well, close enough, the band is originally from Bellingham, Washington) will perform home on April 24th, at the Showbox. Ben Gibbard's band, which I can honestly say I discovered through The Postal Service has a 3 nights run at the 1st Ave venue, and…well, I can only say that I wish I'd be there but anyway, this particular venue was the one I choose as soon as I discovered the band's tour dates to be a part of my Bands in town series of prints.
As always, I took a building that actually belongs to the city, and added a few stuff to make it announcing the band's dates.
I took the NYC's most famous cab, the Ford Victoria Crown and make it a DCB Tour instead of NYC Taxi, DCB standing for Death Cab for Cutie of course. Also I wanted to add the crow appearing on Transatlanticism for a reason which is I love the 2003 LP, so I put it up there watching over the band's ride.
