Again, what a line up. Here we have the Foo Fighters with The Breeders only a few years after their smash hit Cannonball. Wish I'd be there to witness this gig!
For this gig poster I wanted to portray the absurdity at its finest. Maybe it's because I'm pretty anti-smoking and anti-car, or maybe I've watched Zoolander too many times, but I couldn't resist to draw this dandy with his luxurious car smoking in a gas station while talking to the station guy, smoking too. He's so into his conversation that he doesn't notice that the gas is not filling his car but flowing onto it…just as he's throwing away his match…
As I working the colors I felt like making a sepia try, and since I really like both I decided to make both available.
