As an early 90s Hip Hop fan, I've come to realize how much the legacy of John Coltrane's music is providing. There is a sense of freedom and yet instant melodic swing that strikes one listening to jazz music, and I wanted to give my take on this.
My first choice was John Coltrane's A Love Supreme because it embodies everything I want to hear whenever I feel like resting. I had to keep it simple therefore I choose to illustrate the saxophone that Coltrane used, a Mark VI tenor crafted by Henri Selmer Paris, with a few frames and text reminiscing of the always graphic-looking covers that illustrate jazz LPs.
