Browsing ideas for a Thelonious Monk took quite some time, I needed some material that would continue the series of Jazz LPs that I'd already done, but I also wanted to deconstruct just a bit the structure of those previous prints, in accordance to what stands out of Monk's music.
Harmonies float in the air with different wings in Thelonious Monk's amazing discography, so I took it to deconstruct the instrument he is mostly known for.
I took aside the detailed figures to improvise a bit more on this one, this for the same idea of making it relevant to The Monk's Quartet "Monk's Dream" Lp, but choose to keep the original colors, as well as the "STEREO - 360 sound" logo on the original art cover, which is a beautiful logo, very reminiscent of the vinyl era, and which disappeared from LP art covers soon after the 1962 release.
