I will always remember the energy surrounding the release of Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Le Fabuleux Destin D'Amélie Poulain. Everyone was talking about it; if you hadn't seen it, you were going to; if you had seen it, you wanted to see it again, get the soundtrack, play it at home and remember how great the movie is.
There's just so much magic happening at every second, with great, charismatic actors and again, those haunting melodies…
I'm very happy with this artwork, I wanted to show the main characters and I guess I couldn't have found a better way than putting Amelie's bedroom paintings, united as a very odd yet loving couple, while we will remember that the light comes from the very lovely pig in his black trench coat.
