One my favorite of the thriller genre, Alfred Hitchcock's timeless Psycho holds a special place to anyone who finds disturbing movies attractive. The photography, music combined with black and white grain adds intensity to the horror, but I wanted to clash with the usual posters we see of the movie. I knew I wanted some soft color in the background, but not necessarily pink. It just turned out to be the better fit to the shower stabbing scene. The contrast works great between what is going on and the smoothness of the figure/ pink background.
