First of a new series that I'd been wanting to do for a while on Woody Allen's movies.
In this series I want to associate the dramas picture with a graphic style reminiscent of the Blue Note (Jazz) label, with nice editing on font making almost architectural structures with typefaces, ponctuation and a placement of photography that make the whole even more relevant.
Hope you will like it.
I choose Manhattan as my first print for the reason that this one is amongst my favorites. Shot in Cinemascope in 1979, the movie is a New-Yorker anthem in itself, showcasing the city but even more importantly, the people and their habits.
Add to that the quality of drama as Woody Allen knows perfectly how to do.
