I always have a lot of fun watching The Shins's videos, they always come up with collages, animations or hand made material that keep me hung to this band as one of the most creative. Their last LP The Heartworms (or The Worms Heart, as the "Flipped" version of the LP just came out, which is another great idea) is awesome, a bit under the others to some but really, as it came out during summer (2017) it became to me a perfect soundtrack to my summer days spent working at home…
So I received this video with great enthusiasm and decided I might as well do one print per album, I'd love to see a collection of 5 such prints, probably based on the animated videos.
Well this one's about falling in love and turning upside down as you may know, and the metaphor of being in a roller coaster is a fair comparison, and a strong base to work with.
Lots of movements, lots of characters from the park are in it, my idea was to render something bright and happy just like the song is!
