John Singleton's 1990 street-struck movie Boyz N Da Hood is no mystery for most of us growing in the 80s and listening to the blossoming days of hip hop. The movie was nominated for 2 Oscars and is a reference in its genre.
Tre Styles, one of the main character (played by a young cuba Gooding Jr.), wears a pair of Nike Air Force V and this made me jump off my chair when I saw that, being that these are a pure 1990 Nike gem, golden-era type of Basketball shoes, and that surprisingly enough, Nike doesn't seem to be retroeing this style any time soon.
Back in 1990 the shoe was highly worn by David Robinson and the Nike Force crew. There was a high one and this one stands for the low one, even though by today's standards it looks like a mid-cut.
Nonetheless, beautiful.
