It's been a while since I last watched Spike Lee's School Daze, only 2 memories that I have from it are that it is probably the most delirious movie from the director, that is insanely 80s, and that a pair of Jordan IIs appear in their first colorway.
Now, I take for granted that Spike Lee isn't just about placing Nike products in his movies, and as a matter of fact I know he has a passion for basketball, the Knicks, and Nike shoes.
Who wouldn't?
The Air Jordan marked a change in 1986, as introduced as the first Nike Basketball shoe without the Swoosh signature. The italian leather and croc-skin pieces (see last image) made it also special, and a shoe remembered for those who had a pair back then as indestructible, thick, beautifully put together and yet a definition of what the standards of a basketball shoe were then.
