As a long time Nike head and sneaker collector/ connoisseur, I've been working for Lyon's main sneaker store Shoez Gallery (http://www.shoezgallery.com/fr/) as their graphic designer, creating typefaces, clothes etc…
We wanted to make a big statement for the release of Sean Wotherspoon 's Air Max 1 x 97 ( the top part being an air max 97 on an air max 1 (87) sole), so we came with the idea of creating this poster (and another one actually), on which I decided to go with Nike's trademark print adds, with the bold Futura type, and added specs of both sneakers in a horizontally reflected manner, with today Saturday March 24th's date of release, which starts the Air Max Day celebrations.
The original poster had the store's address and other infos that I took off to make this a more universal print. The 87 (date of the release of the original air max 1) blends with the 97 date with a blended organic swoosh made of the colors of the Wotherspoon air max.
