In 1994, the Beastie Boys released Ill Communication, their 4th and more than highly-anticipated LP, after Check Your Head just set them as the most unique band the 80s would create, one that will forever influence generations of artists and people.
The band's mix of rap, hardcore punk and instrumental tracks works like a charm, skateboarders, painters and all open-minded people acknowledge the band's nerve to do whatever they want, talk about any subject, make fun of everything…

This one's a diss track after Bill Laimbeer, then a Detroit Pistons player in the NBA. The Beastie Boys are from New-York, support the New-York Knicks, and certainly don't approve the player's way of claiming fault while aggressively attacking.

Track number 2 of the Ill Communication LP, the poster is also a reference to the X-LARGE design that was issued by Mike D for the brand, with the X-LARGE type instead of Knicks. Made the curtains pink to illustrate the irony of the title "Tough Guy" and thought it worked like a charm…
