Last week I watched the beautifully put together story of Big Fish & Begonia, by directors Xuan Liang and Chun Zhang.
I absolutely fell in love with everything I saw in it. The characters, settings, the special effects, music, of course the story too…This anime is beyond great and I absolutely recommend watching it. Actually I was still that mesmerized by what I'd seen the next day that it became an obsession to make it a print.
There really is a lot going on in the movie, and while I wanted to come up with something that really related to the story, I also didn't want to put out something that would be a bit too much and a bit heavy, so I focused on giving every (important) character its place while finding a composition in which everyone would appear and yet would remind the viewer of the story.
