I was 14 when "Cool like That" came out, my brother and I would bump our heads to the video, until the tape was released and my brother bought it. Our young ears were blown away. The musical esthetic was rich, varied, the jazzy NYC, the simple yet so well arranged loops that I would carry at school all day…
Then Blowout Comb came out in 1994 and the band put it to another level. And made history.
The band was produced at The Supper Club, a venue on the wings of Giant Steps, on November 10th 1993.
I wanted to put both LPs in my poster. The comb from their second record, the roots & their first.
