In 2014 Freddie Gibbs and Madlib released one of the most soulful gangsta rap album ever produced, the alliance coming real hard with the grace of the Madlib produced beats, and ruggedness of the Indiana "cocaine rapper", talking to both mellow, more indie/ left coast amateurs and 2Pac and Death Raw heads.
Being more of a laid back Hip Hop head it took me a while to get into it I would admit, but I still went to the show Gibbs and Guilty Simpson were doing in my hometown and immediately got it, straight live rawness and energy.
Hence I decided to take the MadGibbs characters into a series of prints. Here we have Freddie Gibbs about to blow a Madlib (as Quasimoto) Pinata/ Peanuts kennel.
