To introduce my latest print I really feel I need to talk about "Lost in Traplanta". This TV series by Mathieu Rochet launched in winter 2019 on the French/ German TV channel Arte, definitely the best channel both countries share, and immediately gained attention from Hip Hop heads as well as the general public, for its very unusual ground and overall good humor.
The plot is this : Larry, a french dude, got dumped by his girlfriend, an Atlanta native, who told him she might get back with him at the only condition that…he finds the members of OUTkast, Andre 3000 and Big Boi, and reunites the 2 so that the world can enjoy their music again.
This amazing story takes us to various encounters and stories in Atlanta, and on top of that, the creatives behind the series found the best narrator ever in the form of legendary Juice Crew member and rapper extraordinaire Masta Ace.

Now, if you know me you'll probably know I consider ATLiens one of the Top 5 Hip Hop LPs of all time, futuristic sounds on Boom Bap raps, crazy skills and originality, even the artwork is top ranked, and Masta Ace is probably THE name that comes to my mind if you ask me about longevity in Hip Hop. Ace has been relevant since The Symphony and never stopped putting out albums that tell stories that are well thought and beautifully put together. The writers must share this idea, they literally named the narrator "Rap God"on the show…
I'd been asked if i were to work on a print for these 2 so many times, but really I could never have thought that I'd somehow have Outkast and Masta Ace together on a print.
The occasion was too good to be true and I jumped on it when I discovered the series.
I won't spoil the series for those who will watch it, I couldn't put everything that happens in it in my print but I definitely wanted to have the "Rap God" Masta Ace as well as Big Boi & André 3000 in it.
