These past few days I've been listening to a lot of Rawkus vinyls, I was really into this label in the late 1990s and got the chance to collect a bunch of them. I'd already done a Soundbombing print to pay respect to some of the best mixtapes to be ever put on LP, and wanted to add a design to that piece. A lot of ideas were blossoming, notably the subway series from the Soundbombing II EPs, until I stumbled upon my Pharoahe Monch "Simon Says" EP.
Great track, absolutely graphic cover, I was set up.
Now, I also wanted to give my design a piece of pop art, to make the whole thing stand out a little more I turned all black to an electric-navy blue, and added the dots "pop art" trademark on the skin.
