It took me forever to come up with an idea that would fit my style and Mobb Deep's Prodigy (RIP)'s imagery. So many times I was asked if I was planning on a Mobb Deep piece but I will admit I was out of ideas…That was until recently I got, by providence, into watching Max Fleischer's cartoons, and the whole thing starting assembling itself naturally with one of my favorite song by Prodigy, the ghostly, Halloween-friendly "ABC", with its haunting beat and horror lyrics.
While I was working on things the lyrics were adding themselves like crazy…"P is forever"…"I razor-blade you up…"it's a miracle you're still living…". I added Sean Price's signature P! on a distanced tomb as he sadly also passed away very recently and the 2 had much respect for each other and had collaborated on multiple songs.
