Never one to undermine the importance of clothes and apparel in Hip Hop culture, it felt only right for me to have a few of my favorite icons as prints here in a store that is dedicated to Hip Hop.
In Wu-Tang Clan's video for their "Can it be that it was all so simple" track, featuring Ghostface Killah and Raekwon, The Chief wore that Polo Ralph Lauren jacket as a wink to New-York's infamous crew The Lo-Lifes (mostly ghetto kids making names amongst their community while dressing up (and collecting) entirely in Ralph Lauren clothes).
Back in 1994 when the video came out, the mid-zip 2 color block tones jacket made its way into a lot of conversations, and since then became an entity of its own.
In an attempt to immortalize the flyness of the jacket, I gave it a moving posture, embracing the Living Large attitude.
