Anyway, in 1994 I was lucky enough to see them in Paris at Elysée Montmartre. Think that this was just a few weeks before Ill Communication was released, and before Sabotage would hit the radio and turn them into big celebrities, so this was one of their very last indy show, with only connoisseurs, Hip Hop heads and skateboarders. Worth every penny, the energy was insane, you could feel the band knew they were going to be very big in a close moment…
The Goats did their thing too, I didn't know much about them back then but they turned out to be a very nice discovery.
As the show was part of the Ill Communication tour, I started to think of an idea to illustrate this Ill Communication theme and came with this ridiculously big, above the clouds mailbox that you'd need ladders to climb so that your mail could, maybe, departure and find its way…
