For a long time I've wanted to do some art about the song "Ol"English" by The Game. I love this track, it's got some of that west coast melancholy vibe with the painful/ real life lyrics, very good production and chorus, but I'd shelved all my sketches until very recently it struck me that I could make it a duo with my Dilla "Donut/ fall in Love" print.
From then on I knew I'd go with bold lines and contrast colors, I couldn't miss the LA Dodgers logo, and as the song talks about a gold chain I decided to put the LA logo on that gold chain, surrounding the "Ol'English" bottle.
Really like the result, hope you will too.
