Although a much bigger fan of their first Lp "Bizarre Ride to…The Pharcyde" I will admit I've always loved how Runnin is the song that you can place anywhere, any type of party/ group of people/ Hip Hop heads or not. There is something to it that makes it this classical track in a much wider sense than Passin' Me by if we were to compare the two. It probably comes from the (pretty well) sung chorus, the boss nova-type loop by Stan Getz, of course J Dilla on boards help that in a major sense too…
Anyway, it only recently struck me that a parallel artwork between the song Runnin and Tintin's original cover art could work in a great way, especially while hopping in the running fire hydrant (which kinda serves as a Pharcyde icon logo) as a Milou, Tintin's dog.
I kept the clothes and style from all members on the Labcabincalifornia cover photo, and had a lot of fun doing it.
