Only recently did I watch the London-based series Top Boy. I knew I'd love it, and indeed I fell right into it, but just couldn't find the right time for it.
The series based in the Summerhouse projects of London goes way deeper than just hoodlums selling dope for a living, I loved how it deals with real human relationships, differences of chances from the start, gentrification from diverse points of view, and just everything about life.
Now, from the second I saw the wide angle on the projects I knew I'd be making a print of that. The colors, the symetric yet living architecture really struck me.
I wanted to keep it like that, with only a TOP BOY title, to make the building breathe and for the viewer to enjoy.
