In 1994, Warren G and Nate Dogg were introduced to the world with their smash hit "Regulate", coming with a Long Beach-style plot, catchy beat and whistling, you couldn't miss it. It was all over, and well deserved, appearing in both Warren G's debut LP "Regulate…G Funk Era" and the Above The Rim soundtrack. Now, as a 15 year old barely listening to any West Coast rap (except for Hieroglyphics, Pharcydes and a few more), I really wasn't into it much and it took some time for the song to grow on me. I'm glad it did though.
So for this print I basically wanted to put together the ingredients from the plot and since it is a very cinematic song, turn the song into a movie print.
From the clear white moon to the brothas shooting dice, the "ladies" whose car just hit the curb, the infamous Eastside Motel, Warren G looking at the sky while Nate Dogg faces the busters, 21 & Lewis…
Hope you enjoy it.
