The early 90s was such a creative era, si many bands erupted and many new genres either were born or evolved, amongst them grunge saw the light of day. Stone Temple Pilots, although not described as founding fathers of the genre (the band is from San Diego, CA) quickly became a solid formation that amateurs of the genre dived into.
Touring with the Flaming Lips and the Butthole Surfers in 1993, in-between their albums Core and Purple, the band was in full swing and the amount of energy (and beers) on top levels.
I had a lot of fun drawing that poster, inspired by the 90s graphics I was into as a young skateboarder.
