Back in 1985, in Hill Valley, way before (well, yes and no…) Marty gets to experience the Nike Air Mags in Back To The Future II, our local hero rides his skateboard wearing Nike Bruins, a very early Basketball silhouette which would nowadays be mostly regarded as an early Tennis shoe. The Nike Bruin was released in 1972, a decade before the Air Force 1, when Basketball players still wore Chuck Taylors.
Everyone is fond of the Nike Air Mags, they're still to this day the most mesmerizing piece of sneaker one's ever seen, which makes it an even cooler contrast to the simple lines of the Nike Bruin. It's funny though that Nike has released tons of Bruins for the Nike SB line but never once did they come out with a Nike Bruin OG "Mc Fly" pair. This pair is perfect to cruise on your skateboard, but you'd better lace them tight if you don't want any problem while being chased by a bunch of hooligans with baseball bats.
